Paris Saint-Germain extended their great run in UEFA Champions League knockout games: they have now won their last four, as many as they had won in their previous nine.
The Parisians are also showing encouraging signs in matches with English clubs. They have won seven of their last 10 Champions League games against Premier League sides, as many as they had won in their previous 25 cross-Channel encounters. Chelsea are one of the teams they have beaten the most.
The PSG front line continues to impress. They have scored at least five goals in three European games this season, a competition record. There have been 13 different scorers too.
Bradley Barcola is the perfect example. On his 100th career start, the Parisian number 29 opened his European account this season and has now got four goals in his last five appearances in all competitions.
Certain players go up a level or three in these big matches. Ousmane Dembélé, for example, has 20 Champions League goals, 13 of which have come in knockout games.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made a big impact coming off the bench to score twice and set up another. The Georgia international now has a hugely impressive 15 goal involvements in just 19 Champions League games.
