Over 7000 Paris Saint-Germain fans will be in Salzburg to see if the club can claim the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa (9pm CEST).
Two-and-a-half months after Budapest, the heart of the Red-and-Blues beats in Salzburg. And like for every European game, the team will have great support. Led by the Collectif Ultras Paris, supporters from around the world, MyParis members and season-ticket holders have come to the City of Mozart to back the team's challenge for more European silverware. "I've travelled 1000 kilometres by car, about ten hours' driving," said Nicolas as he stood in front of the team hotel. "It's a great game in the sunshine, a lovely city and a new European final to win, I had to be here for it."
Fans will be able to gather between 11am and 5pm at Salzburg's Alte Markt where the Fan Zone has so much going on - face painting, music, freestylers etc. - with the speaker of the Parc des Princes adding to the atmosphere. "I'll go there as soon as I can, it's a chance to enjoy myself before the game," said Louis. "You can get into the game nicely and we have to win it."
The Parisian fans will then gather for the Fan Walk to the stadium at 6:20pm, heading from Martin-Luther-Platz to the stadium where they will back their team as one. Now renowned Europe-wide, the Paris Saint-Germain supporters will be united in the aim of pushing their team to a second UEFA Super Cup - almost exactly a year after the first - on the day of the club's 56th birthday.
Their support will be unrelenting in Salzburg but also at the Parc des Princes where fans will be able to see the game as part of the Stadium Tour Night Sessions. Ticket holders will be able to watch the game live on a giant screen on what we all hope will be another unforgettable night.
