Renato Marin: "Very happy and very proud!"

Renato, welcome to Paris! How do you feel about becoming a Parisian?

"Thank you very much! I'm very happy and very proud! I'd like to thank the President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos, Luis Enrique and all the staff for the trust they've placed in me. They've been incredibly supportive right from the start, and I'm very grateful for that!"

What does Paris Saint-Germain mean to you?

"It's an incredible club, one of the best in the world! Its history, its youth development... It's a very big club, and I'm so happy to be joining it."

What motivated your decision to come to Paris?

"It was the project that's in place and the confidence the club has in its young players. It's an incredible opportunity for me to join such a strong team that plays incredible football."

You'll be playing alongside some great players, and under Luis Enrique...

"I'm going to learn so much from playing with them. I'm going to grow as a footballer, that's for sure. And to be able to play under a coach like Luis Enrique, who was a really great player, is something wonderful."

What are your goals as a Parisian for the coming months?

"I'm going to give it my all. What I want is to give my all, work hard and make progress. The club is ambitious, so I have to be too. What counts is the team, but we have to work hard to make it effective."

What do you remember about PSG's season that just ended?

"Paris won a lot, especially in the Champions League and Ligue 1. And they did it in style. What people remember is obviously the incredible play on the pitch, what the players managed to do with the ball. I remember that game against Manchester City in particular... It was incredible."

You're about to experience the Parc des Princes...

"I can't wait! It's something I want to experience, you can see it every time, the stadium is incredible, the atmosphere created by the fans... A player couldn't ask for anything better!"
