The evening got underway with a series of inspiring speeches, not least those given by Yannick Ngassa (the CEO of PSG Academy Hong Kong & Macau), Justin Wong (a representative from CTF Life, the event's main sponsor) and Johanna Bouyé (the recently appointed Consul for Culture, Science and Education at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau), the latter of whom hailed Paris Saint-Germain's remarkable season of triumphs, be they in the form of the Ligue 1 title or the UEFA Champions League trophy. Bouyé also reaffirmed the Consulate's commitment to promoting French sporting excellence through football thanks to PSG Academy's presence in the region.
The guests then enjoyed an impressive dance show performed by SDM Jazz Ballet Academy before it was PSG Academy's young players' turn to step into the spotlight. Each participant received a diploma in honour of their investment during the season, while individual awards were given to the academy's best goalkeepers and most improved players.
Two special guests – Iris Kwok, a former captain of Hong Kong's women's national team, and Zara Matos, a former player for Macau's women's national team and now a PSG Academy coach – then took the floor to hand out the awards for the season's best outfield players, who were: Léonard Bridoux in the U9 category; Stella Lew in the U11 category; Jason Hung in the U13 category; and Timothy Ho in the U15 category.
In addition, two special awards were given to Yota Kanno for scoring the opening goal of the 2025 PSG Academy World Cup at the Parc des Princes and to Arthur Hao for being PSG Academy Hong Kong & Macau's longest-serving player to date.
The players' parents were also given pride of place and were warmly thanked for their unwavering support, particularly regarding the teams' trips abroad.
Overall, the event provided not only a fantastic chance for the players, their families, the coaching staff and the academy's partners to come together but also an opportunity for PSG Academy to reiterate its commitment to helping the region's talented young footballers to develop and to blossom.
