A former Spain international right winger, future Paris Saint-Germain Handball head coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo brings extensive experience at both club and international level.
Garcia Parrondo first established himself as one of Europe's brightest coaching talents by leading RK Vardar to the 2018–19 EHF Champions League title, writing a memorable chapter in the Macedonian club's history.
Appointed Egypt head coach in 2019, the Spaniard went on to enjoy further success on the international stage. He guided the Pharaohs to African Handball Nations Championship titles in 2020 and 2022, helping establish Egypt as one of the world's leading handball nations.
Since 2021, Garcia Parrondo has been in charge of MT Melsungen. Under his leadership, the German club has grown into one of the Bundesliga's leading sides, culminating in the 2026 EHF European League title—his second European trophy as a coach.
When he takes charge of Paris Saint-Germain Handball ahead of the 2027 season, Garcia Parrondo will bring with him a wealth of experience, a proven track record of success and a clear understanding of what it takes to compete for the biggest honours in both France and Europe.
“We are delighted to welcome Roberto Garcia Parrondo to Paris Saint-Germain Handball. His experience, high standards and knowledge of top-level handball will be major assets as we embark on this new chapter. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a real ability to develop his teams and lead them towards the most ambitious goals. We are confident that his arrival will enable the club to continue its development and its quest for titles.”
“I am extremely honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain Handball. It is a leading club in European handball, renowned for its ambition, high standards and strong identity. It is a huge responsibility, but also a challenge that I accept with great enthusiasm. I look forward to working with the players, the coaching staff and the whole club to continue writing the history of Paris Saint-Germain.”
