Following Hong Kong and Macao, PSG Academy sets up in the heart of Guangdong
After the successful launch of the PSG Academies in Hong Kong and Macau in 2023, Paris Saint-Germain is taking another step forward by expanding its activities into Guangdong.
Building on these openings and the growing development of the program across the region, two major tournaments were held earlier this year: the PSG Academy Youth GBA Tournament Hong Kong and the PSG Academy Youth GBA Tournament Macau.
This regional momentum led to a first event in Guangdong as early as November: a football tournament organized as part of the GBA Cup 2025, bringing together 14 teams and 350 young players from across the region.
This progressive expansion across the cities of the Greater Bay Area reflects Paris Saint-Germain’s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, developing cross-border competitions and delivering showcase events that support the growth of football throughout Greater China.
Sharing Paris Saint-Germain’s methodology and values
The Paris Saint-Germain Academy will open football academies and run training camps throughout Guangdong for boys and girls aged 4 to 18, with the aim of transmitting the Club’s methodology based on excellence, respect and passion for the game.
Training sessions will be led by certified coaches following the Club’s official program, giving young players the opportunity to take part in international events organized within the PSG Academy network, including the prestigious PSG Academy World Cup held in Paris.
China is a highly strategic market for Paris Saint-Germain. Over the years, we have strengthened our presence through our local office, matches played by our professional team, and the future expansion of our stores. The launch of PSG Academy in Guangdong Province marks a new step in our long-term commitment to the region.
