With victory in the 50th edition of the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday 13 August against Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (2-2, 4-3 on penalty) Paris Saint-Germain entered the competition's history books by winning the trophy for the first time. Supported by nearly 6,000 fans in Udine, Italy, the Rouge & Bleu added a 56th line to their list of achievements by winning this trophy, their third European title after the Cup Winners' Cup in 1996 (1-0) and the Champions League (5-0 against Inter Milan) on 31 May.

Paris Saint-Germain, which celebrated its 55th anniversary on Tuesday, is off to an ideal start to the 2025-2026 season ! Following their historic quadruple last season (Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Champions League), Luis Enrique’s men – nine of whom have been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or – have secured another trophy after a thrilling end to the match, the score was 2–2 thanks to goals from Kang-in Lee and Gonçalo Ramos and 4–3 on penalties.

Captain Marquinhos – who is entering his 13th season in the Red & Blue jersey – and his teammates have etched their names forever in the history of the Club by winning this title, a first for a French club. Since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), Paris Saint-Germain have won 38 trophies.

This new trophy rewards the work carried out by Luis Enrique, his staff and the entire club, with a clear commitment to long-term success. It also reflects the deep attachment and passion of the Parisian fans, who travelled to Udine to cheer on their team and experience these moments of joy.

Paris Saint-Germain have started the 2025-2026 season in the best possible way by winning their first trophy of the season. The next chapters will now be written across all competitions, from the Champions League to Ligue 1, including the Trophée des Champions, the Coupe de France and the Intercontinental Cup.
