Paris Saint-Germain strengthens executive team with hire of Anne Descamps
Starting in August, Anne Descamps will report directly to Paris Saint-Germain President, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, and sit on the Club’s Top Management Committee led by CEO Victoriano Melero.
Anne will be responsible for all communications strategy, activity, personnel and agencies across the Club, spanning men’s football, women’s and youth football, handball, judo and e-sports; together with all communications across corporate, business, internal, brand, consumer, lifestyle and innovation verticals. Major additional responsibilities include managing the strategic and community communications for the new stadium project; the next phase of expansion of the PSG Campus in Poissy; and PSG for Communities initiatives, via the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation and Endowment Fund.
Anne will also work with the leadership team at Qatar Sports Investments, particularly around investor relations with other Club shareholders and on broader QSI partnerships related to the Club, such as around a potential NBA franchise.
For the past 7 years, Anne has been one of the most senior executives at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee – responsible for one of the most successful sports events in French sports and Olympic Games history – holding the position of Executive Director of Communications and Spokesperson for the Organizing Committee. Prior to that, Anne has held senior positions and advisory roles at the highest level in the French Government, within presidential campaigns and across the industry of strategic communications.
Earlier this year, Paris Saint-Germain announced another senior hire of Richard Heaselgrave as the Club’s new Chief Revenue Officer. And more appointments, partnerships and projects will be announced in the coming months as Paris Saint-Germain affirms its position as one of the leading football, multi-sport, lifestyle and business franchises in the world.
