Three Parisiennes in the Arkema Première Ligue team of the season
Three Paris Saint-Germain players have been named in the Arkema Première Ligue 2025–2026 Team of the Season: Romée Leuchter, Sakina Karchaoui and Griedge Mbock. With 18 goals and 7 assists to her name, Romée Leuchter finished as the league’s top scorer, crowning a stellar season in the red and blue jersey. A key figure in driving Paris’s style of play, Sakina Karchaoui once again stood out for her work rate and consistency, finishing the season with 6 goals and 3 assists. In defence, Griedge Mbock was one of the main architects of Paris’s solidity, contributing to the club’s 12 clean sheets in the league this season.
Ousmane Dembélé, Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the second year running and winner of goal of the season!
Having already been crowned Ballon d’Or winner and recipient of 'The Best' award, Ousmane Dembélé has won the Ligue 1 Player of the Season award for the second consecutive season. Having been instrumental in 16 matches this season, with 10 goals and 6 assists, The 28-year-old Paris forward also averages a goal contribution every 60 minutes, making him the best in Ligue 1 in this regard. In 2026, he has also recorded 12 direct goal contributions in the league, just one fewer than Esteban Lepaul.
Vitinha and Nuno Mendes were also among the five nominees in this category, underlining Paris Saint-Germain’s strong presence among the league’s top players. With this latest accolade, Paris Saint-Germain has seen at least one of its players nominated in this category for the tenth consecutive year.
Ousmane Dembélé’s evening was also marked by a second accolade: the award for the Best Goal of the 2025–2026 Ligue 1 season. The Parisian striker was named the winner ahead of Mousa Al-Tamari (Stade Rennais), Folarin Balogun (AS Monaco), Hugo Magnetti (Stade Brestois 29), João Neves (Paris Saint-Germain) and Matthieu Udol (RC Lens).
On matchday 18 against Lille, on 16th January 2026, the French international made a lasting impression with a superb piece of skill that culminated in a spectacular lob at the Parc des Princes. Scoring twice that evening, Ousmane Dembélé played a key role in Paris’s 3-0 victory.
Désiré Doué once again voted Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year
Having already won the Golden Boy award this year, Désiré Doué has claimed the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year trophy for the second season running. At just 20 years of age, the Parisian striker continues to develop and confirms his status as a young talent at the very highest level. With 7 goals and 5 assists in 21 league matches, Désiré Doué has established himself as a player capable of making a difference through his technical ability and his capacity to speed up the game.
Having joined the Club in the summer of 2024, he also reached the milestone of 100 appearances in red and blue yesterday during the match against Stade Brestois 29 (1-0), in which he scored a goal.
João Neves and Warren Zaïre-Emery were also among the nominees in this category, confirming the central role of young players in the Parisian project.
