Océane, congratulations on your contract extension! What are your initial thoughts?
"I'm really happy to be extending my contract here at the club where I came through the ranks. It's a source of great pride for me because I've been here for years [since 2018]. I hope to contribute as much as possible to Paris Saint-Germain. I've grown up here. So I'm really pleased to be extending my contract in Paris, at the club I love."
You seem to be thriving in this squad. Was that one of the reasons behind your decision?
"I get on really well with everyone. I’m someone who adapts very easily too. I try to bring as much good humour as possible. Things are going really well, to be honest. I get on with everyone – Paulo César and the girls. It’s lovely to work in an environment where you feel at ease."
You’re one of the many players who made it to the first team after coming up through the club’s youth system...
"It's true that there are a lot of young players again this year. I think that's important because we're in a rebuilding phase – it brings a breath of fresh air. It's important to have key players here with plenty of experience, but I'd also like to thank the club for placing its trust in all these young players – and in me too, as I'm still one of them! We're going to give it our all to prove them right and show that we belong here at Paris Saint-Germain. ‘
How has the start of pre-season training been going?
’It has been a bit tough! I think every time you return to training it's quite tricky, but at the same time, it's to be expected! We've completed all the necessary tests, and I think we're preparing very well. We've got a brilliant coaching staff too, so we're ready for the first friendly matches - and we'll be ready for the season ahead."
Speaking of which, what are your goals?
"My aim is to contribute as much as possible to the team, feel good and try to play. I'll do everything I can to make that happen, and if it doesn't work out, I'll support whoever does get the call. We’ve got a really strong group of goalkeepers, and we'll all give it our all to see who gets to play."
To wrap up, a quick message for your supporters?
"First of all, thank you for everything you do for us, for being there for us every day, for cheering us on and for coming to watch us… Thank you for everything you've done, for your support here, on the pitch and on social media. I hope we can inspire you and bring a smile to your face. I wish you a great season and hope it goes well!"
