Mika, welcome to Paris Saint-Germain. How do you feel? What does it mean to you to be a PSG player?
“I’m really pleased to be here. I’d like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos and Luis Enrique. They’ve shown me that they wanted me here at Paris Saint-Germain. And I’m really happy to be able to work with them. When PSG called me, I was happy! It’s the best club in the world. It’s amazing!”
What do you think you can bring to the team?
“I’m a player who can score goals and provide assists. And I’m really happy to be able to do that here, at the incredible club that is Paris Saint-Germain. It’s an opportunity for me to play football at the very highest level.”
Have you been following PSG’s performances in their recent European campaigns?
“I’ve watched all the matches, they’re a very strong team, the players really play as a unit, and I can’t wait to be part of this team and play alongside these great players.”
What sort of player are you, how would you describe yourself?
“I’m a player who loves to dribble. It’s one of my main strengths, I’m an attacking player who loves to score and get assists. But the most important thing for me is to help the team, have a positive attitude and entertain the fans. And in everyday life, I’m a calm person who’s close to my family.”
What are your goals, collectively and individually, now that you’re wearing red and blue?
“PSG are two-time European champions, I’ve come here with the aim of getting stronger every day, showing my talent, and developing and learning alongside the great players who make up this team. And to win lots of trophies!”
Do you have a message for the PSG fans?
“I’m so happy to be here and to be able to play for them. PSG is a great club, and the fans are brilliant. I can’t wait to play at the Parc des Princes and meet them.”
