Created in 2016 by McDonald's, the tournament has established itself as a major event for young talent. Once again this year, the line-up was impressive: Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Anderlecht, Juventus and not to mention FC McDonald's, a team made up of young players selected during an extensive nationwide talent search.
And the show lived up to all expectations! After two intense days of goals and excitement, Paris Saint-Germain came out on top in the U13 category, confirming the quality of the Rouge and Bleu team. Juventus shone in the U14 category, while Chelsea won the U16 Women's category, providing a great advert for European women's football.
Since its creation, the McDonald's Football Challenge has brought together more than 7,500 young players from 300 clubs. Much more than just a tournament, it is a unique human, educational and sporting experience, combining the joy of the game, team spirit and a taste for excellence — values shared by McDonald's, partner clubs and all those passionate young people who dream of one day following in the footsteps of their idols.
A weekend of football, fair play and smiles: the reason we love sport.
