Vignaud, Boly, Koukaba, Olax (C), Batbedat, Konate, Nzinga, Idder (Nzala, 85'), Meite (Niakate, 63'), Ayari, Tiehi (Adnane, 63').
Just over a month after their spectacular start to the competition with a 6-1 victory over SK Slovan Bratislava at the PSG Campus, Les Titis were making their first away trip of the season in the competition on Wednesday, with a clash against Manchester City – who had lost 1-3 away to FC Porto in their opening match.
From the outset, it was the Parisians who looked the more enterprising, with early attempts from David Boly (4') and Adam Ayari (8'). After a first quarter of an hour in which Les Rouge et Bleus had the upper hand, they were duly rewarded when Mamadou Meite opened the scoring, beating the opposition goalkeeper with a side-foot finish following a pass from Younes Idder (0–1, 15'). At half-time Paris were in complete control and went into the dressing room with a one-goal lead.
In the second half, the home side put Arthur Vignaud under greater pressure in the Paris goal, but he was in imperious form and was not to be beaten. Our last line of defence worked hard to repel the English attacks, enabling his team to hold onto their lead before doubling their advantage in the final quarter of an hour, when Adam Ayari sealed victory for the capital club (0–2, 78')! There was no way back for the young Citizens and the Titis secured a valuable victory across the Channel.
Les Titis celebrate their second goal from Adam Ayari, synonymous with a second win for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Youth League !
