The capital club's supporters were certainly treated to their fair share of surprises ahead of their side's encounter with AS Monaco this evening, including the presentation of Les Parisiens' summer signings and the news that several members of the squad had signed contract extensions. For the first home game of the season, though, the Parc des Princes faithful also got a glimpse at the latest addition to Les Rouge et Bleu's trophy cabinet.
Of course, it was the team's captain, Marquinhos, who stepped onto the pitch to show off the UEFA Super Cup, which Luis Enrique's men won for the second year in a row on 12th August 2026 by beating last season's UEFA Europa League winners, Aston Villa, 2–1 in Salzburg thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué.
