Luis Enrique: 'Keep the continuity'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique spoke at his press conference on Saturday 4 October 2025, from the PSG Campus, on the eve of the Matchday 7 Ligue 1 clash in Lille.
“After a European victory against one of the best teams in Europe, away from home, we can be proud! I, as the coach, the players as well and also the supporters. We overcame difficulties and it’s an incredible feeling.”
“You can really feel the connection between the Youth Academy and the first team. It’s always great to see young players join us, but also to go back and train with the youth teams to continue their development. They enjoy themselves, they’re calm and really brave. That’s the mentality of our young players and it’s amazing to see that mindset every day."
“The league is important for us, we need to be consistent and keep that continuity. Playing away from home is always difficult. Lille are one of the best teams in the league and they also played in midweek. We’re focusing on recovering well, we trained well today and we’re ready for this match, before having to manage the international break.”
“I love playing in stadiums with a great atmosphere. There are many like that in Ligue 1 and I know my players also enjoy these kinds of high-level matches. These are big games to play. Lille are a strong team and we know them well because we remember our meetings with them last season. We’re mainly focused on improving ourselves and continuing on our path.”
