Luis Enrique: "Finish this historic season in the best way possible"

Men's football
The Paris Saint-Germain coach answered questions from PSG TV and the media two days ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final against Chelsea FC on Sunday 13 July at 9pm (in France, 3pm in New Jersey, USA) at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

CHELSEA

"It's important to be aware of the difficulty of the match. Chelsea have a young coach who likes to play with the ball. He's got a team with a lot of individuality, but when they have to defend, they do it like we do, and they're very strong physically too. So it's going to be a tight game on Sunday. It will be difficult because we are similar in most areas of the game. We're ready, they're ready. We've each won a European trophy this season, so it'll be an interesting game."

STATE OF MIND

"We're going into the last game of the season with a very good feeling, after a very good year. It's important to finish this historic season in the best way possible. It's important for us and for the whole club. My players have been sensational all year. It's been incredible and will go down in the history of Paris Saint-Germain. We want to make it even bigger by winning on Sunday, but it's been extraordinary."

"Making history was the goal, and today is a new chapter. We can't wait to play this match."

CLUB WORLD CUP AFTER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

"Winning this competition means a lot, without a doubt. It was our main goal when we arrived in Paris. Making history was our objective, and today is a new chapter. Sunday's game will be our final match to win the Club World Cup. We can't wait to play this match."
