One week before the return of competitive football and the opening match of the Arkema Première Ligue against Lens, Les Parisiennes hosted Ajax at the PSG Campus to put the finishing touch on their preparations. After 90 well-controlled minutes, the Red and Blue came away with a 6-0 victory. The perfect way to approach the start of the season with confidence!
The players from the capital quickly got on the right track down the left wing when Elimbi Gilbert played a ball through to Karchaoui, who finished with a cross-shot in front of goal (1-0, 10’). Les Parisiennes doubled their lead after a major defensive slip, one nonetheless forced by Kanjinga, who stole the ball inside the Dutch box before setting up Leuchter, who made no mistake (2-0, 24’).
Merveille Kanjinga further troubled the opposing defence almost immediately afterwards, capitalising on nother series of Dutch errors to extend the lead (3-0, 25’). Paulo César’s players were efficient, precise and clinical, and they struck again right at the end of the half, once more through Kanjinga, who pounced on a poor back pass to beat the opposing goalkeeper (4-0, 45’+3).
Leuchter secured her brace in the second half, running onto a perfect through ball before curling her shot past the keeper (5-0, 64’). Finally, Ebayilin sealed the victory with a thunderous strike under the crossbar late in the game (6-0, 85’).
Now, it’s time for competitive football!
