ParisOur Rouge et Bleus' strong start to the season continued on Thursday evening against Saran. After a hard-fought battle away to Limoges on Saturday evening (33-35), the capital club managed to keep one of the surprise packets of the early season well in check. Despite having claimed three wins from their first four matches and boasting the league's tightest defence, Saran soon found themselves trailing an extremely effective Parisian side (8': 2-6).
With six goals and eight assists to his name, Luc Steins once again emerged as the team’s leader and made a strong case for the Player of the Month award for September, for which he has been nominated alongside Saran goalkeeper Zoran Radic – who made nine saves against Paris – and Montpellier’s Bryan Monte. Already holding a comfortable lead at half-time (30': 15-19), the Parisians dominated the second half, with the whole team putting on a spectacular show at the Arena CO’MET (60': 27-36).
While some of them were at the Campus to cheer on the women’s team against the Belgian side Leuven in the Champions League, around a hundred Ultras filled the stands at the Arena CO’MET on Thursday evening. From the first minute to the last, just as they do at Coubertin, they sang their hearts out to spur our Rouge et Bleus on. At the end of the match, Stefan Madsen’s men were able to celebrate with their supporters following this latest victory.
Noah Gaudin's four goals saw him reach the 100-goal milestone for Paris Saint-Germain across all competitions. This clash with Saran was our centre-half's 53rd match for Paris since joining the club in the summer of 2025. His stats include 78 league goals, 12 in the Coupe de France, 11 in the Champions League and one in the Trophée des Champions victory over Montpoellier in August.
“I’m very pleased; we were in control throughout the match. We played exactly the way we wanted to. There are still a few moments where we make mistakes, but that’s to be expected. I’m pleased to see that lots of players turned in great performances tonight. Once again, we showed great team spirit. It’s not easy for everyone to get playing time, but I’m proud of the players tonight, the way they all worked together and secured the two points.”
