Moscardo was 12 years old when he joined SC Corinthians back in his native Brazil in 2017, and after rising through the club’s youth ranks, he eventually broke into its first team in the summer of 2023.
The man born in Taubaté, a city in the state of São Paulo, made his professional debut for Corinthians at the age of 17, when he came on as a substitute in a 3–0 win over Uruguayan outfit Liverpool Fútbol Club in the Copa Libertadores on 28th June 2023. Renowned for his ball-winning ability and his physical impact, the Brazilian midfielder would then waste no time in establishing himself as a first-team regular, to the point that he became one of the first names on the Timão team sheet, making 25 appearances and racking up one goal and one assist in the process.
His displays also earned him a call-up to Brazil’s U23s, with whom he featured in a friendly against Morocco on 7th September 2023, just a few weeks after turning 18.
On 24th January 2024, Moscardo signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain. Having been loaned back to Corinthians for the remainder of the 2023–2024 season, the midfielder joined up with Les Rouge et Bleu during their summer preparations for the following campaign, which saw him make a substitute appearance in a friendly against SK Sturm Graz. Over the course of 2024–2025, this time on loan at Stade de Reims, Moscardo played 10 times for the Champagne-based outfit, scoring one goal in the Coupe de France, while he also took part in the 2025 CONMEBOL Sub20 tournament with Brazil’s U20s, notching up one goal and one assist in nine games as he helped his side to glory.
Upon his return to the French capital that summer, Moscardo was a member of the Paris Saint-Germain squad that competed in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States before his move to SC Braga on another season-long loan. In his 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club across all competitions, Moscardo was regularly used as a centre-back and still managed to rack up a goal and an assist.
Paris Saint-Germain would like to wish Gabriel every possible success during his season at RCD Espanyol.
