In a ‘classique’ fuelled atmosphere, chants and cheers accompanied the Parisians throughout their training session on Saturday. Ahead of this first fixture against Olympique de Marseille, Luis Enrique’s men were once again able to gauge the sheer intensity surrounding this match like no other.
On the pitch, the squad continued their training with seriousness and focus, watched in particular by Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Following last week’s 1-0 victory in Brest, which earned them three precious points, the Rouge et Bleu have built up momentum in the league table. The aim now is to build on this victory, in what is inevitably a special context against their great rivals, Olympique de Marseille.
After the session, the players also took the time to extend the experience with the children present at the Campus, particularly those invited as part of the PSG for Communities initiative. The Parisian players chatted with them, took photos and shared some special moments before turning their full attention to Sunday’s match.
It was a lovely way to round off the morning, filled with hard work, encouragement and camaraderie. The supporters were able to pass on their energy to the players before they set off for Marseille. Now it’s time to take to the pitch!
