Following the official announcement of his arrival yesterday, Dro Fernández was already in training at PSG Campus this morning. Despite being ineligible for his new side's final league-phase game in this season's UEFA Champions League, the Spain under-18 international got to make the acquaintance of his new teammates, who gave him a warm welcome.
Having quickly got his bearings as part of the squad, our new no. 27 showed off his technical proficiency and his vision during drills supervised by Luis Enrique and his staff as well as by Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Luís Campos. Before he makes his Rouge et Bleu debut and plays at the Parc des Princes for the first time, "Dro" has at least managed to see his new working environment and to begin his PSG journey!
Our new recruit may well feature in the squad for Les Parisiens' next Ligue 1 McDonald's match away to Strasbourg at 20:45 CET this Sunday, but before that, his capital-club colleagues will be aiming to book their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League by beating Newcastle United at 21:00 CET tomorrow at the Parc des Princes.
