Les Bleus qualify for the World Cup with brilliant performance against the Czech Republic!

A France side featuring Parisians Karl Konan and Wallem Peleka secured victory against the Czech Republic in the return leg of the 2027 World Cup play-offs, thereby securing their place in the finals, which will take place in Germany next January.

In his first competitive matches as France’s head coach, Talant Dujshebaev made his mark against the Czech Republic. Even before the return leg at the Co’Met Arena in Orléans, Les Bleus had one foot in Germany for the 2027 World Championships thanks to their first-leg victory (26–37). However, that didn’t stop them putting on a show once again in front of their home crowd. Wallem Peleka proved decisive on one occasion, shining in attack, whilst Karl Konan once again excelled in defence. With this double victory, France stitched up qualification for the 2027 World Championships in Germany.
