Organised by the French Football Federation (FFF), the eCoupe de France brings together 32 competitors each season for its national final at Clairefontaine: 16 professional players from the eLigue 1 McDonald’s clubs and 16 amateur players who qualify through departmental and regional stages.
Competing in partnership with Team Vitality, Paris Saint-Germain Esports was represented by Brice Masson and Ilian Bouchi, both of whom delivered high-level performances throughout the tournament.
The tournament began with a group stage (8 groups of 4 players), followed by a knockout phase featuring matches played in a best-of-three format.
In their respective groups, Brice Masson and Ilian Bouchi got their campaigns off to the perfect start: three wins from three matches each, securing first place and comfortable qualification for the next round.
In the Round of 16, both Rouge et Bleu players continued their strong form:
Ilian Bouchi defeated Isma, who had qualified through the Bourgogne–Franche-Comté League qualifiers, by a score of 2–0.
Brice Masson earned a 2–0 victory over Fouma (FC Lorient), a five-time French champion.
The draw then produced a special scenario: in the quarter-finals, the two Parisian players were matched against each other. After a closely contested series, Brice Masson won 2–1. Ilian Bouchi’s run ended there, while Brice continued his march toward the final stages.
In the semi-finals, Brice Masson faced Yaskow (Clermont Foot 63), a former Paris Saint-Germain Esports player. It was a tight contest, but Brice prevailed 2–1 to book his place in the final.
In the final, the Parisian met Dutch player Levi de Weerd (ESTAC Troyes), one of the major names on the international circuit. Brice delivered a commanding performance, winning 2–0 to claim the 2026 eCoupe de France title.
This victory gives Brice Masson the first title for the club’s EA SPORTS FC™ team since the partnership with Team Vitality was announced, and rewards the hard work carried out by the entire squad.
Brice Masson:
“The two matches against Levi de Weerd were especially close. He’s a very strong player, and I’m happy that I managed to win the final in two games. This victory allows me to win a second eCoupe de France, this time wearing the colours of Paris Saint-Germain.”
Johann “Maniika” Simon, the team’s coach:
“I’m very happy with Brice’s victory. I was delighted with his performances throughout the two days of competition. He really worked hard for this tournament. He kept improving from start to finish, peaking against Levi de Weerd in a difficult final that he controlled from beginning to end. I’m very proud of him and truly happy because he fully deserves to win this trophy.”
