Friday began with the traditional pre-match press conference. One after another, Sakina Karchaoui and Jackie Groenen, followed by Paulo César, answered questions from local and international media. Nearly fifty journalists filled the press room stands at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, and the club from the capital made no secret of its determination to win this trophy and its desire to enjoy the moment. As highlighted by Parisian coach Paulo César, the squad is also proud to be taking part in a historic final.
At the end of the press conference, the entire squad headed out to the pitch for their final training session on the eve of the clash against Olympique Lyonnais Féminin. For nearly three quarters of an hour, the Rouge et Bleues fine-tuned the final details to prepare as well as possible for this final under the sun and heat in Abidjan.
This second day ended with a wonderful moment of exchange and connection with the Fan Club Côte d’Ivoire. While hundreds of supporters are expected at the stadium tomorrow for the final, around ten members went to the team's hotel to meet Sakina Karchaoui, Elisa De Almeida, Jackie Groenen and Anaïs Ebayilin. It was an opportunity for them to show their support and encouragement before gathering to take a few photos as memorable keepsakes of a wonderful meeting.
Our Parisiennes are ready to contest this historic final on Saturday at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan. The match will kick off at 17:30 local time (18:30 French time) and will be broadcast live and exclusively in France on L'Équipe.
