Kiedrzynek, Le Guilly, Samoura, Dudek (C), Carmona (Lafontaine, 77'), Echegini, Østerås (Feller, 66'), Jourde (Groenen, 46'), Elimbi Gilbert, Kanjinga, Morissaint (Yayá, 46').
A few days after their trip to Manchester (1–1), the Parisians returned to France and the pitches of the Arkema Première Ligue for a top-of-the-table clash against PFC. In this short away trip under the capital’s sunny skies, it was the Rouge et Bleue who got off to the better start, before the home side eventually opened the scoring through Clara Mateo, who struck with her right foot (1–0, 11'). The tone was set for this derby, and the goal gave Sandrine Soubeyrand’s players confidence.
This lasted until the half-hour mark, when goalkeeper Kinga Seweryn made a mistake from a Léa Morissaint cross from the right, allowing the Parisians to equalise (1–1, 30'). The goal shifted the momentum back in their favour, as Paulina Dudek’s team-mates regained their momentum towards the end of the first half, though they were unable to break down the opposing defence.
After the break, Paulo César’s side began to take more control of the game, but it was PFC who came close to regaining the lead following a cross from Clara Mateo and a shot from Mariam Toloba, which forced Katarzyna Kiedrzynek into a save (56'). The Parisians were quick to respond, relying in particular on Merveille Kanjinga’s pace. On the right flank, the Rouge et Bleue centre-forward got the better of Théa Greboval and picked out Jackie Groenen in the box: the opposing goalkeeper was then saved by Melween N’Dongala, who cleared off the line (61').
As the minutes ticked by, the capital club pressed on in their attempts to score a second goal, but efforts from Joe Echegini (70'), the relentless Merveille Kanjinga (80') and substitute Yayá (82') were not enough to break down the PFC defence, which was under pressure during the final half-hour of the game. So there was no winner between the two Parisian sides at the Stade Charléty, in a match where each team had their moments.
The Parisiennes’ joy after the equalising goal, set up by a cross from the young Léa Morissaint (18), which allowed the Rouge et Bleue to get back into the game.
