The man from Gijón, in Spain, has the outright most wins in the history of the club from the French capital - a record he had shared with Laurent Blanc since the 2-0 victory over OL. He boasts a remarkable record of 127 wins and just 27 losses (a 67.6% win rate and 2.21 points per game) in 188 matches as head coach. Under his direction, Les Rouge et Bleu have scored 457 goals - an average of 2.4 goals per game. That’s 66 more goals than the 391 that were scored under the leadership of the 1998 World Cup winner.
Since arriving in France in the summer of 2023, Luis Enrique has recorded the most wins across all competitions amongst Europe's top five leagues. He leads Mikel Arteta (121), Pep Guardiola (116), Diego Simeone (110), Unai Emery and Xabi Alonso (101). With 188 matches in charge, he also has the most appearances on the sidelines, ahead of Arteta (187), Simeone (186), Emery (183), and Guardiola (180). The first coach to win the UEFA Champions League with Paris (2025, 2026), he has also been crowned French champion (2024, 2025, 2026), lifted the Coupe de France (2024, 2025), the Trophée des Champions (2024, 2025, 2026), the UEFA Super Cup (2025, 2026), and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup (2025), becoming the most successful coach in the club’s history.
Having been in the position for just over three years, Luis Enrique is already the third-longest-tenured coach in Paris Saint-Germain’s history. He ranks behind Luis Fernandez (1994–1996 and 2000–2003) and Georges Peyroche (1979–1983). Having joined the club on July 5, 2023, the Spaniard will surely further cement his place in the club’s history, as he recently extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain through to 2030.
