The big win means Paris Saint-Germain are now unbeaten in their last 11 Champions League games with seven wins. It's the club's second-longest run in the competition after the 13-game unbeaten streak between October 2012 and November 2013. Paris have now won their last five opening games in the competition, something they had done just once before in their first 12 participations (5 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats).
PSG also confirmed their remarkable consistency in front of goal: they have scored at least five goals five times in the Champions League since the start of the 2025/26 season, at least twice as many times as the next-best team.
Their six goals at the Parc des Princes took Paris Saint-Germain onto 379 goals in the Champions League and past Juventus into fifth place on the competition's all-time scoring chart.
It also means Paris have scored in each of their last 34 home games in the group stage or league phase, totalling 98 goals in that time. They have found the net in every match on home soil at this stage of the competition since a goalless draw with Real Madrid in October 2015.
Against Slovan, the Rouge-et-Bleu also registered their most goal attempts in a Champions League match since Opta analysis began in 2003-04 with 35 shots. With 73% possession in the game, it shows the hosts' dominance in the match.
Ousmane Dembélé, who scored twice and set up two more, had four goal involvements in the same game for the first time for Paris. The Ballon d'Or has scored at least once in his last five Champions League games, totalling eight goals in that time. He has 11 goal involvements in Paris' last 15 goals in the competition (8 goals, 3 assists).
Ferran Torres became the first player to score a hat-trick on his Champions League debut for the club. The Spain international joins Zlatan Ibrahimović as the only PSG players to have scored at least five goals in their first four competitive appearances for the club.
