First training session for Les Rouge et Bleu!

On Friday 24 July 2026, Paris Saint-Germain Handball returned to training at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin, marking the start of their pre-season preparations following a five-week break.
Three days after the fitness tests carried out at the Parc des Princes, the Parisian squad returned to Coubertin on Friday morning to resume training. With four days to go before setting off for Tokyo for the 2026 Japan Tour, Stefan Madsen was able to hold his first session with the full squad - wit hthe exception of Mathieu Grébille, on extended leave.
Rodrigo Corrales, Frederik Ladefoged and Bjarki Elisson took part in their first training session in their new colours and were able to see their new team-mates in action. This first session of the season was also attended by young Djibril Sarre, a goalkeeper from the youth academy. He was able to test himself against the first-team regulars, whilst listening attentively to the initial advice from Dragan Pocuca, the capital club’s new goalkeeping coach.
New season, same routine. After the team warm-up, this first training session of the season kicked off with a particularly hard-fought futsal session. Despite Mikkel Lovkvist's opening the scoring for the black team, it was the Reds – consisting of Rodrigo Corrales, Kamil Syprzak, Ferran Solé, Karl Konan, Sebastian Karlsson (who scored twice), Bjarki Elisson, Luc Steins and Luka Karabatic, alongside Henrik Mollgaard – who came out on top with a score of three goals to two.
This light-hearted match gave way to some serious focus as Stefan Madsen gave his first tactical instructions. This was followed by attacking and defensive drills in small groups on either side of the court before the session concluded with a practice match.
After more than two hours of intense training, this first session of the season drew to a close under the watchful eyes of around fifty youngsters from Paris Saint-Germain Academy Handball.
