“I’m pleased – we’ve picked up the three points and that’s the most important thing. We controlled the match well in the first half, but then we wasted chances after the break. We weren’t able to maintain the same intensity; we pushed to score a second goal, but it didn’t come. It was important to win and pick up the three points. I think we’re on a good run despite the defeat to Lyon; the girls are really united. There are some very promising things happening on the pitch. We’re feeling confident; we need to keep improving and playing well to pick up points.”
“It was a tough match because of the weather conditions. I think we had a good first half; we had quite a few chances and we could have scored more. The second half was more of a battle, but we didn’t concede any goals and we’re coming away with the three points. We’ve got a lot of matches coming up, including Manchester City next week, so it was important for us to finish on a high today. We’re pleased, and we’ll get back to work quickly to prepare for the upcoming matches.”
