Emil Mellegard played his first match for Paris Saint-Germain Handball in Chambéry on Tuesday (28–29), making his debut nearly nine months after suffering a serious knee injury. The Danish left-winger had a perfect game, scoring three goals from three attempts.

At the end of the match, five departing Parisians will be honoured for their time with the club: Jannick Green, Gautier Loredon, Jacob Holm and Sindre Heldal as players, as well as Patrice Annonay, the current goalkeeping coach and former assistant to Raul Gonzalez.

Nine players have represented Paris and Tremblay during their careers: Mohamadi Latoufi, Semir Zuzo, Sébastien Mongin, Patrice Annonay, Nicolas Claire, Mladen Bojinovic, Samuel Honrubia, Dylan Garain and Luc Steins.

Last season, Kamil Syprzak found the net 15 times in the Parisians' big win in Tremblay (32–40), setting a new personal best in the league.

Last season, Jannick Green also put in a record-breaking performance against Tremblay, making 21 saves in the clash at Coubertin – his best such tally in all competitions with Paris.

Paris and Tremblay have faced each other 29 times in the league, with the capital club winning 20 and losing nine. Les Rouge et Bleu have also won each of the last 17 meetings between the sides.

This Saturday, Jacob Holm could play his 99th and final match for Paris. The Danish centre-half has scored 207 goals for the capital club, including 126 in 56 league matches.

The same goes for Gautier Loredon, who is set to play his 102nd match for Paris – his last before joining Chambéry this summer. Our home-grown talent has scored 131 goals in Rouge et Bleu.

Jannick Green, meanwhile, could bring his time in Paris to a close with a 196th appearance on Saturday. The capital club’s goalkeeper recently passed the 700-save mark in the league - a feat achieved in just 113 appearances.

Exactly 13 years ago today, on 6 June 2013, Paris Saint-Germain Handball played host to Tremblay on the final day of the league season. Having been crowned champions for the first time in their history a few weeks earlier, Philippe Gardent’s players lifted the trophy in front of a jubilant crowd at Coubertin. This Saturday, it will be Stefan Madsen’s side who, against the same opponents, will celebrate their 13th French league title.
