MATCH REPORT
After two wins from as many matches, the Parisians faced their counterparts from FC Barcelona in a headline fixture of Matchday 3 of the league phase at the Campus PSG. Up against an enterprising Catalan side, our Titis held their ground but never lost sight of their playing philosophy. It was an open game with a frenetic pace, but it wasn’t until the hour mark that the deadlock was broken. Barça played the ball out from their own penalty area, but the Parisian press was so intense that Niakaté capitalised on a wayward pass and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper with the inside of his foot to open the scoring (1–0, 61').
The pace didn’t let up, and the FC Barcelona players eventually forced our Parisians into a foul, conceding a penalty which was converted by the Spanish captain, Pedro Rodriguez (1–1, 74'). It was an extremely entertaining match, with play swinging from one end to the other and both teams playing attacking football on the Campus pitch, but the score remained unchanged after this.
After a first half dominated by FC Barcelona, tactical changes allowed PSG to take the lead before Barça came back to share the points. A top-class encounter!
It’s now time for Challenge Espoirs action, with an away match at Caen scheduled for Sunday 25th October 2026 at 3pm!
