Since joining Paris Saint-Germain Handball in 2019, Kamil Syprzak has established himself as one of the team's key players. The Polish pivot has won seven French league titles, two French Cups and three Trophées des Champions with the Club. With this contract extension, Kamil Syprzak will remain at Paris Saint-Germain Handball until 2028.
“I’m very happy to continue my journey in Paris. I’ve been wearing this jersey for several seasons now, and I feel very much at home at the Club, within the team and in this city. We’ve already shared some great moments and won many titles together, but I’m still just as hungry to win and achieve more success. I’m proud to continue this journey with Paris Saint-Germain.”
Born on 19 June 1998 in Mineiros, Brazil, Edney Silva plays as a pivot. After taking up handball in his hometown, he continued his development at Handebol Maringá and then EC Pinheiros, before joining Sporting CP in 2022. In Lisbon, he quickly established himself as an important player and contributed to the Portuguese club's domestic success.
With the Brazilian national team, Edney Silva notably competed at the 2025 World Championship, where Brazil reached the quarter-finals for the first time in their history. A powerful player who makes his presence felt in both defence and attack, he will bring his experience and physical presence to the Parisian squad from the 2027/2028 season.
“Joining Paris Saint-Germain Handball is a dream come true for me. It’s a prestigious club with great ambitions and a rich history. I can’t wait to discover this new environment, meet my future teammates and the fans. I’ll give my all to help the team achieve its goals.”
“We are delighted to extend Kamil Syprzak’s contract. Over the years, he has established himself as a key player in our team. His consistency, experience at the highest level and importance within the squad will continue to be invaluable in the coming seasons. The arrival of Edney Silva will also give us a complementary profile, with a player who is equally effective at both ends of the court. His experience and commitment will be real assets to our team.”
