After a tough start to the match in which the Portuguese side scored two goals in four minutes, PSG got back into the game and eventually ran out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Erding (20’), Giuly (22’), Sessegnon (56’) and Maurice (64’).
The evening didn’t start off so well for the Parisians. At the outset, Traoré attempted a back-pass to Edel who, caught out by the bounce, saw the ball trickle into the back of the net (0-1, 1re). But the misfortunes of Antoine Kombouaré’s men didn’t stop there. With his side’s first real attack, Daniel Carriço blasted a headed shot past the PSG ’keeper (0-2, 4e).
It wasn’t until the 15-minute mark that Paris really got into the match. From a Giuly pass, Erding showed his side the way by lashing home a powerful shot to pull one back (1-2, 20e). And straight away Giuly turned from assit provider to scorer, beating Rui Patricio with a shot on the turn (2-2, 22e). After the break, PSG held strong. From the left, Maurice fired a free kick into the near post and, after a goal-mouth scramble, Hoarau and Sessegnon tried their luck but it was the man from Benin who put it into the net to give his side the lead (3-2, 56e). A few minutes later, the PSG number ten broke down the right wing and placed a sweet cross directly on the head of Maurice, whose shot left the Sporting Lisbon ’keeper with no chance. (4-2, 64e).

Two goals down after four minutes, the Parisians managed to fight back to win the match in style, continuing their pre-season work with a second consecutive friendly win. Antoine Kombouaré also had a chance to give some game time to all his players.
