French Cup - Monday 22 March 2010 at 11:14

Minister for the Interior, Brice Hortefeux, has ordered the French Cup quarter-final between Auxerre and PSG, next Tuesday at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps, to be played behind closed doors.

"After discussions with the French Football Federation (FFF) and the two clubs involved, this morning I asked the Yonne prefecture to organise the match closed to the public," he announced to French news agency AFP.

This measure "is in keeping with the decision made by the Professional Football League (LFP) to play Nice-PSG on 20 March and PSG-Boulogne on 28 March behind closed doors," added the minister.
