The potential transfer of Gabriel Heinze to PSG was broached in Friday morning's press conference hosted by Sébastien Bazin and Robin Leproux.

"Did we have the means to bring Heinze back to Paris? Yes. Did we consider it? Yes. But the idea wasn't developed any further," explained Sébastien Bazin. "Above all, it would have been difficult for the young defender Mamadou Sakho who, like Heinze, is left-footed," added coach Antoine Kombouaré. "We wanted to keep Sakho and play him, despite all the respect and admiration we have for Heinze. PSG has a very good youth academy and must show its faith in its young players," concluded Sébastien Bazin.
