The Partners of the PSG Foundation

The PSG Foundation’s programme is financed by PSG, the State, the Ile-de-France regional council, the Yvelines General Council and the Paris – Ile-de-France Football League. Private enterprises also generously and willingly support the PSG Foundation.

PSG

In supporting the PSG Foundation, Paris Saint-Germain endeavours to aid local clubs by providing its services and experience at every opportunity. The professional arm of the capital club signed a new three-year deal with the PSG Foundation, which runs until September 2008, allowing the club to be involved in a host of activities both on and off the football field.

The state

The first public partner of the PSG Foundation, the State signed on back in the 2000-01 season and the creation of some 50 youth positions. Aged between 18 and 26 years of age and recruited from within their respective clubs they became ‘local representatives’ of the Foundation. The State has recently renewed its faith in the PSG Foundation in signing a new deal.

The Regional Council

The Ile-de-France region is, by definition, the geographical sphere of influence of the PSG Foundation. During the organisation of the Regional Inter-city Championship which brought together nearly 3,000 children from 30-odd Ile-de-France cities in May 2002, the Regional Council saw the potential of what Paris Saint-Germain, via its Foundation, could bring to the community. The Region Council renewed its support of the PSG Foundation throughout the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons for both the Regional Inter-city Championship and the PSG Open Days.

The Yvelines General Council

The summer holiday camps held at the club’s training complex at Saint-Germain-en-Laye – the Camp des Loges – is one of the bases of the partnership between the PSG Foundation and the Yvelines General Council. This collaboration also extends to the co-financing of the Youth Jobs program created by the Foundation, aimed at alerting the youth population to the problems of violence in the community by organising information days at local clubs, children hospitals and special education centres.

The Essonne General Council

The PSG Foundation recently established a new partnership with the Essonne General Council. For an entire week in July 2005, the club installed its mobile Football School at the famous Robert Bobin Stadium in Evry Bondoufle, as part of the PSG Days Program, organised in conjunction with the Regional Council.

The Paris – Ile-de-France Football League

The presence of Jean Verbeke, vice-president of the French Football Federation and President of the Ligue Paris – Ile-de-France de Football, on the PSG Foundation’s administrative council further demonstrates the great spirit of co-operation which exists between the League and the PSG Foundation. The League and the local football districts play an integral role in the development of youth job opportunities.

Private Partnerships

From a legal and financial perspective, the PSG Foundation is not in a position to receive donations or sponsorship from private enterprises. Nevertheless, certain companies, whose activities are complimentary to the aims and spirit of the Foundation present their assistance on specific projects, much to the benefit and delight of the participating children.
