Nasser Al-Khelaïfi received the most votes from 1,500 professionals to finish ahead of nine other nominated sporting directors. The PSG president finished ahead of Pascal Grizot, president of the Ryder Cup France 2018 and Noël Le Graët, president of the French Football Federation.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi received his award on Thursday at the headquarters of French television station TF1 and in the presence of French world champion handballer Nikola Karabatic.

The Parisian chief succedes Jacques Lambert, who was awarded the prize last year for his work towards France being attributed the Euro 2016 European championships of football.
