Valenciennes left-back and Côte d’Ivoire international left back Siaka Tiéné has signed a three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Following the signatures of Mathieu Bodmer and Nene, the 28-year-old full-back is PSG’s third signing of the 2010-11 season. In the French capital he is reunited with Antoine Kombouaré, his coach during his first season at VA, as well as Zoumana Camara, his former teammate at Saint-Etienne. Tiéné will wear the No.5 shirt.

Siaka Tiéné began his career in the Côte d’Ivoire, at ASEC Abidjan. He spent four seasons there (1999-2003) before heading to South Africa where he wore the colours of the Mamelodi Sundowns FC (46 matches, 14 goals). Signed in 2005 by AS Saint-Etienne, Tiéné played 5 games in Ligue 1 before being loaned to Reims in October 2006. After 18 matches and three goals in Ligue 2, the Ivorian returned to Les Verts and played another 19 matches for them in the top flight. In 2008 he was transferred to Valenciennes where he played 56 Ligue 1 matches (2 goals) in two seasons. The experienced international (59 caps, 2 goals) was a member of the Elephants World Cup squad in South Africa where they drew with Portugal (0-0), and lost to Brazil (1-3) before defeating North Korea (3-0).
