PSG arrive in Aix-les-Bains

Training camp | 2010-07-06 | 23:58

On Tuesday evening , the players and staff of PSG arrived in Aix-les-Bains for a ten-day training camp.

At 21:15, the TGV from Paris pulled into the station at Aix-les-Bains more than an hour late, but it wasn’t enough to take the smile from the face of Ludovic Giuly, who was happy to pose for a few photos with the local PSG fans who had come to welcome their team. The rest of the squad also took some time to sign autographs before climbing on the bus that took them to their hotel.

The Parisian delegation arrived at the hotel Marcure just before the beginning of the second half of the World Cup semi-final between the Netherlands and Uruguay. Straight off the bus the players sat down for dinner before heading upstairs to settle into their rooms. Unpacking their bags, setting up the video game consoles, checking out the end of the semi-final… the players masde themselves at home. “It’s the first time I’ve come here, but I have gone to training camps in Tignes and Divonne-les-Bains before,” said new recruit Mathieu Bodmer. “I’m still learning the ropes, both about my new teammates and about our working methods. This training camp should give us a chance to bond a bit.

After a good night’s sleep, the Parisians will begin their preparation on the shores of Lake Bourget on Wednesday morning with a training session booked in at the municipal stadium at 10:00.
