x-floo-x -. Certain people compare you to Bernard Lama. What does that mean to you?
“That’s a huge compliment. Bernard Lama will always be Bernard Lama. I’m called Edel and will try and what Edel knows to do best. If, one day, I have a career like Bernard Lama then great, but I actually think it’s a little difficult to compare the two of us...”

Xitix -. After the injury to Gregory Coupet you were thrown into the spotlight. How has it gone for you?
“Really well. Like I always say, this is my third season at the club. The first was very difficult, we finished sixth in the second so I know what is required. I was really effected by Greg’s injury. I’m part of a family here so I’ve got lots of people I can count on and it’s all going well.”

TBPSG91 -. What advice do you have for young goalkeepers who want to make it to the very top?
“Like Greg, and all the other ‘keepers who I’ve met here at PSG, often tell me: you need to be mentally strong. It’s even more important when you’re playing a position like goalkeeper. Against Monaco, we lost 1-0 after my mistake, against Marseille, I made a mistake on the second goal. It’s never easy. If you aren’t strong, if you don’t have the support of your family, your teammates, it’s tough. You really have to love this job.”

Nouman -. Can you tell us a bit about the young ‘keeper Alphonse Areola?
“Alphonse has a lot of talent. As you know, at his age, people are talking a lot about him, but you have to wait and see. He’s a very talented young player, but only time and hard work will allow him to succeed.”

Man5on -. Where are FIFA up to with your case to play for Cameroon?
“It’s still in FIFA’s hands. I have no answers from them for the moment, I’m still waiting, but I hope the final decision goes my way.”

Kevin68 -. You played for clubs like Pyunik Erevan, Rapid Bucarest and Gantoise. Is the atmosphere at the Parc the best you’ve experienced?
“Paris is the most beautiful city in the world! Sometimes I understand the supporters, sometime I don’t. We are not always equal to their expectations. When we’re doing it tough, we need them to get behind us. Paris is Belgium or Romania. Paris is Paris! The supporters have always backed me. When the crowd chants your name, it’s an incredible feeling! The atmosphere is incredible. I work hard every day to try and put the smiles back on our supporters faces.”
