PSG defender Zoumana Camara talks about Sunday’s match against OM, a match in which he’s played for both sides in the past.
Zoumana, is the decision to stay in a hotel on Friday and Saturday a way to get out of the spotlight and away from the pressure ahead of the Classico against Marseille?“Maybe it’s to get away from it all a bit because the fervour is starting to climb a little. There are a lot of people at training these days. It’s not a new rivalry. This is an important match for the Parisians and the supporters. There’s only three points on offer like any other match but it is a very important match. During the game against Toulouse, the fans were already thinking and singing about the Marseille game. But we’re not under any more pressure than that.” You played for Marseille. What do you remember about the welcome reserved for OM players at the Parc des Princes?
“That’s going back a bit! But it’s true you feel a certain hostility. When you walk out onto the field, you can’t each other anymore – and that’s right from the warm-up! It’s an electric atmosphere and the fans are very, very passionate. That’s what I remember of my games with OM in Paris.”

Do you feel like the underdog?
“We obviously are given the current standings and the form this Marseille side is in at the moment. We’re the underdog, but that isn’t a problem.” Are you worried about any Marseille player in particular?
“Not especially. They have a lot of quality, all over the park. They have some in form players such as Niang or Ben Arfa and Valbuena is coming back strong.” Would a win over Marseille save your season?
“We’re going to try and finish the season as well as possible. Obviously for the supporters, the city and the club, this is an important match. At any rate, we’ll do anything we can to get the win. Obviously it would be great, but there are other important games this season. We know though, that it will give us a big boost if we win.”
