The ECA meets at the Parc des Princes

The Association des Clubs Européens (ECA), bringing together 11 French clubs, met at the Parc des Princes on Friday morning to discuss the major issues confronting the future of European football.

Philippe Boindrieux representing PSG, Baptiste Malherbe for Auxerre, Alain Deveseleer for Bordeaux, Didier Roudet for RC Lens, Michel Seydoux for the LOSC, Marc Keller for Monaco, Nicolas Holveck for Nancy, Jean-Michel Aulas for OL, Cédric Dufoix for OM and Frédéric de Saint Sernin for Rennes, chatted with Philippe Diallo, general director of the UCPF and three representatives of the ECA, Michele Centenaro, Diederik Dewaele and Olivier Jarosz about questions such as Financial Fair-Play, professional club squads, contracts and player agents...

The Association des Clubs Européens (ECA), a descendent of the G14 and UEFA’s Clubs Forum, both dissolved in February 2008, now represents 144 clubs, from all 53 nations comprising UEFA. After a three hour session, the group lunched at the Parc des Princes restaurant, Le 70. “PSG was delighted to host this reunion of the ECA at the Parc des Princes. French football should play an important role in Europe’s governing bodies,” explained Philippe Boindrieux at the end of the meeting.
