Robin Leproux, Antoine Kombouaré and Peguy Luyindula look back over PSG’s loss to Lorient.
Robin Leproux (PSG president)“Our current situation is unacceptable. It’s shameful. You have not right to give up when you play for PSG. We have to get out of this situation and everyone needs to take a good long look at themselves. Me included. There will be those that want to fight, to lift, and those that keep on with the same routine. I’m stepping up a gear and with Antoine Kombouaré, we’re going to fight to get the best out of the players that decide to follow. Perhaps I was a little naive in certain analysis. That’s finished now. Even if we have to lower our expectations, its unacceptable to humiliated at the Parc des Princes. We have to change the way we work, our spirit, we need to discover the necessary desire to defend the club’s colours.”
Antoine Kombouaré (PSG coach)
“It’s a huge disappointment. Our first half was poor. The first goal hurt us and the second goal followed immediately. It stopped us fighting back. I was expecting something different. We have to stick together. Things are also going against us because I think we had a good goal disallowed. The public are very demanding and when results go against us, they are unhappy. We have to be very strong mentally. We have to focus on the French Cup and then bring something back from out trip to Nancy. We have to fight.”
Peguy Luyindula (PSG forward)
“We have to stay cool and have the strength to fight back. We need to get out of this bad run as quickly as possible. I hope the squad isn’t traumatised by a catastrophic start to the year. We’re stunned. With ten minutes on the clock, we thought things were going to go well.”
