After ringing in the New Year, the PSG players started 2010 with a huge training session at the Camp des Loges on Saturday afternoon.

No more oysters, champagne and foie gras... The festive season is over! The PSG players were back on the pitch at 3pm on Saturday January 2, 2010 for training. Before then however, the players wished each other a happy and successful 2010, including Grégory Coupet – still in plaster but still smiling!


Barely time to get into their gear and it was straight to the weights room. “2010 starts the same way as 2009,” exaplained Granddi Ngoyi between abdo workouts. “You have to work hard, follow the example set by the veterans.” Just metres away, Marcos Cearà and Grégory Coupet are working hard to music! In the changing room, after a four-month loan to St Petersburg, Mateja Kezman is back at the Camp des Loges and his teammates are happy to see him back!


As they head out onto the pitch, reality hits home: “The pitch is frozen!” exclaimed Edel. The sun can’t hide the fact that the mercury hasn’t moved into the positives yet... Physical trainer Raphaël Fèvre decides to warm up the bodies with a long run. The squad then works in drills with the ball before a game without ‘keepers. After an hour and a half, Antoine Kombouaré lets his players go. They meet again on Sunday morning to head to La Baule on the Atlantic coast, for a training camp until January 6.
