PSG coach Antoine Kombouaré talks about Saturday’s friendly clash with Braga, at 14:30 at the Parc des Princes, before next week’s Classico against Marseille...
Coach, what is the aim of Saturday’s friendly clash against Braga?“It’s important to maintain a competitive rhythm. Everyone will play. We also need to get back to winning ways so that we can start another series of positive results. That’s the attitude with which I’m approaching tomorrow’s game with Braga. You always must play to win, including training matches. You work towards victory every day. I hope that when the players play cards or billiards, they play to win. This match will be a great game against a quality opposition. I hope Cearà will be back because he couldn’t play last weekend. I’m waiting on the green light from the club doctors.” Are the players not already thinking about Marseille?
“No. We’re just taking it one game after another. Braga is a very good preparation match. It’s not by chance that they’re leading the Portuguese championship. It will be an excellent test and a good chance to work on the things that didn’t work against Nice.” Can Zoumana Camara win a starting place against Marseille on the strength of his performance against Braga?
“Like the rest. He’ll have a pre-established amount of playing time. It’s very important that he plays tomorrow, as it is for the rest of the squad. I’m working for everyone. Papus could play tomorrow and get injured. Anything can happen and I can’t afford to concentrate on just one player. He is one of the players that need to see more playing time. He’s back for injury and has played three reserve games in a row.”

Do you have enough options in your squad?
“I have the squad I wanted. I work with the players so that they perform to their maximum of their potential. I want to get the most out of each player and have a solid squad. We have a big enough squad that this is possible. It would be a lot tougher if we were suffering big defeat after big defeat, weren’t playing well and weren’t creating chances. We just need to be a little stronger mentally to resist during the moments where we’re under pressure on the pitch.” Will you watch France’s game against Ireland on Saturday?
“Yes, I’m 100 per cent behind the team and I hope Les Bleus win tomorrow. They have the potential. It will be a very tough match, but they have the quality to get through.”
