On the eve of PSG’s Ligue 1 Week 9 clash away to Toulouse, Antoine Kombouaré spoke to the media about Sunday’s game...
Antoine, Peguy Luyindula got a knock on the knee in training, how is he going?“It’s already ancient history. We were worried he might be injured but he’s fine. He’s 100 per cent ready, he’ll train later today and should start against Toulouse.” What about you two other injured strikers Guillaume Hoarau and Mevlut Erding? Is the news as good?
“Mevlut is not in the squad. I preferred to leave him with the reserves this weekend. He’ll train on Saturday and Sunday because he needs the work. He’s going well, a lot better, but not yet ready to take on Toulouse on Sunday. As for Guillaume Hoarau, we’ve kept him in cotton wool this week. He’s worked very hard physically and trained on Friday and Saturday, so he’ll make the trip with us to Toulouse.” Can PSG beat Toulouse?
“Despite the absence of certain players that aren’t yet 100 per cent, we’re looking for the win. With the rescheduling of Week 11, we have to play three away games in a row. That is perhaps a handicap, but we want to win as many games as possible. The best way to win as many games as possible is to win the first one. Toulouse will also be looking to bounce back after their loss at home to Lorient. And of course, matches against PSG are always special.”

“You have to defend in a zone and not man mark him. He moves around a lot, loves to get in behind the defence. You can’t leave any space behind your back. We also know he loves to break free down the left in order to cut inside onto his right foot. We saw it again on Wednesday with France. The best thing to do against a class player like him is to remain focussed and vigilant at all times.”
