PSG defender Christophe Jallet talks about his debut for his new club and his future challenges with Les Rouge et Noir...
Christophe, how was training?“We worked on tactics, with attack versus defence and then worked on some attacking moves. We finished off with some one-on-ones against the ‘keepers, which is always fun. The players had a good laugh, the ‘keepers a little less! The international break gives us a chance to relax a bit, but we’re keeping our minds on the upcoming matches.” How do you rate the start of the season?
“It’s gone pretty well. We’ve got ten points, scored ten goals and we’re very happy. I hope it continues because we’ve only played four games and we need to reproduce these results for the whole season.”

Your own playing time/goal ratio is pretty impressive...
“It’s astonishing! It just proves that anything can happen! Sometimes, Lady Luck takes a shining to you so I’m just going to enjoy the moment and just try to keep enjoying myself out on the pitch and do my best when the coach calls on me.” On Sunday, 13 September, PSG travels to Monaco…
“It’s never easy travelling to Monaco. It should be a good match. Monaco have struggled a little away from home, so they’ll be looking to grab the points at home. We have to show them that we’re not there to see the sights. We’ll be there to take all three points.” Grégory Coupet will surely be impatient for the next match at the Parc des Princes against Lyon on Sunday 20 September at 21:00. You too?
“You always want to play against your former club. Greg’s going to get his chance in two weeks and I hope we can claim all three points for him as a present. If we can score another three goals, that will keep our home record intact.”
