Antoine Kombouaré, Jean-Marc Pilorget and Laurent Fournier got together at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, scene of their greatest moments as players...
Antoine Kombouaré, Jean-Marc Pilorget and Laurent Fournier all share two things in common. Before the three became the three coaches of Paris' three professional clubs (PSG, Paris FC and US Créteil-Lusitanos, respectively), each man left his own special mark on the history of Paris Saint-Germain.Invited by the local paper Le Parisien, the three coaches discussed the 2009-10 campaign. For Pilorget and Fournier, who coach in the National division (D3), the aim is the one and the same. "We're going to fight as long as possible to get promoted back to Ligue 2," said Pilorget, the record holder for official match appearances with PSG. Laurent Fournier, immediately put the pressure on: "There are seven or eight teams ahead of us, including the PFC! We'll try and stay in contact with the top three, even though it won't be easy."
Antoine Kombouaré wished both men the best of luck: "Before coaching two local rivalsn Jean-Marc and Laurent were first and foremost friends. I really hope they both succeed." The three men then headed back to their day jobs, but not before reminiscing a little about the good old days in a PSG shirt!
