On the eve of their second friendly match of the season against Nantes, (Tuesday at 19:00), the PSG squad trained in the morning before jumping on the bikes for an afternoon ride.
The training camp is drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean the sessions were getting any lighter! “We’re working well, I’m very satisfied. The squad is getting on well because they’re all giving it everything,” said Antoine Kombouaré after the first session of the day. A training session that began with a hard workout and then a series of drills (3 against 1 and shooting). And, excepting Stéphane Sessegnon, who resumed training at the Camp des Loges, the entire squad was present to take part in this demanding session.“We’ve got Guillaume Hoarau back and that’s a good thing,” continued Kombouaré. “Mev (Erding) is continuing to come back from injury and I’m also happy to see him training again. As to whether or not they will play against Nantes, we’ll know a little bit more after training on Tuesday morning. I’m getting regular updates from the medical team. It’s the same for Jérôme Rothen who’s a little further along physically,” added the PSG coach.

It’s the same from the players: “We’re working really well and try and help the new players fit in as quickly as possible,” explained Sammy Traoré. “It’s tough going with two sessions a day, with a long bike ride this afternoon. The legs and the backsides really suffered.”
Players and staff alike took part in a two-hour bike ride. Travelling in Indian file on little tracks along the coast or in a tight group on the roads of Sarzeau, PSG rivalled the Tour de France for two-wheel popularity in the region.
A final match is organised against Ligue 2 side Nantes for Tuesday night at Saint-Dolay. The match will bring to a close the training camp which saw the squad bond under the strain of the physical challenge. “Against Nantes, everyone will play 45 minutes and probably still be pretty tired after all the work they’ve done until now,” explained Antoine Kombouaré. “I’m hoping to see a little more understanding between the players out on the pitch. We’re putting the foundations in place.” After an initial outing against Pontivy, this time the opponent is better known. “Tuesday, against Nantes, it’s going to be the next step in our preseason training and certainly Nantes are going to be a tougher opponent,” claimed Sammy Traoré.
