Zoumana Camara signed a new one-year contract extension to his current deal and is now tied to PSG until 2012. The Parisian-born player, who joined the club two years ago, was delighted with the new deal.

Zoumana Camara (PSG defender)
“It’s important to make your mark over the long term. I’ve already played two seasons here. The first was a little tough, even though we played in two Cup finals and won one. This second season, just finished, is full of great memories even though the last few weeks were a little harder. I’ve added another season to the two I had left, so I’m very happy. I believe in this club and in the current project. I’m sure we’re going to achieve some great things. I want to finish my career in a PSG shirt.”

Philippe Boindrieux (PSG managing director)
“The club’s first aim is to hold on to our best players. ‘Papus’ Camara is one of these best players. We had to explain the club’s plans for the future and know who was going to be the new coach. The players needed to know.”
